About CD&RP
(CD&RP) combines aggressive cardiovascular and metabolic disease prevention programs with traditional diagnostic and internal medical care. Our disease prevention program involves both early diagnosis of treatable diseases, and aggressive treatment of precursor diseases that can lead to atherosclerosis related disorders such as heart disease, stroke and kidney failure. The culprit precursor diseases include hypertension, cholesterol/lipid abnormalities, diabetes and obesity. To achieve treatment goals, we combine the latest state-of-the-art medications with effective behavior modification programs. This type of aggressive treatment can delay, and many times prevent, long term complications and more serious life threatening diseases. In summary, the goal of CD&RP is to prevent and/or optimally control disease while maximizing a healthy lifestyle.
MedVAS or the Medical Value Added Service Program is a program that expands and personalizes our medical care relationship with individual patients. The expanded services are NOT an insurance product but a program of added services that are not provided by usual insurance coverage. This program will allow us to establish a more personal medical care relationship without the usual time constraints and limitations that are imposed by most insurance providers. Together with my wife Susan, a Yale educated nurse practitioner, we will stress preventive health measures in addition to those that have always been paramount in our practice, as well as providing excellence in medical care.
The new program will be more satisfying, both for my patients and for me, since it will allow me to provide medical care the way I feel it should be rather than the way it has evolved under insurance and government mandates. The MedVAS program is being offered to help avoid restricted services and waylay any new constraints that are placed on healthcare in the future.
